Essentially a deep, intense, uniform, sustained heat in the tissue
underneath the surface of the skin will produce contraction and tightening
of excessively flaccid or lax skin. Therefore, the ThermaLift provides the
heat required in performing such a task.
It is extremely safe. Although it is a new procedure and new technology,
great effort on the part of the company has gone into making it as safe as
possible. The record of adverse effects is clean so far with the unit
currently in use.
Although there is no ideal age, the younger the better. As soon as early
skin sagging is first noticed by the patient. The earlier the better since
younger skin is generally in better condition.

6 Months After ThermaLift

For many patients one treatment will suffice. Repeat treatments may be
needed for others. Deciding when and if you'll be able to have additional
treatments will be up to you doctor. Technically after one month, although,
because results will take four to six months to show, it is a good idea to
wait for the effect of the first treatment. In some cases of extreme skin
laxity, your doctor may advise multiple treatments from the start.
Exactly how long the treatment may last is unknown at the moment,
although, they are long lasting. Months to years, or may even be
permanent. But because the aging process continues, skin laxity will
naturally increase again with time. However, there is no "Cinderella effect"
in which the results from the treatment will disappear suddenly one day.
